Many people actually prefer soap ends for craft projects they are doing or for travelling as they can simply break off pieces as they need them for one time use. Soap ends usually measure approximately 0.64 cm (0.25 inch) thick, by 8.9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, and anywhere from 5.4 cm (2.125 inches) to 29.2 cm (11.5 inches) long. Bar quality will vary and the ends are not always flat and sometimes are twisted a bit due to the effects of normal soap curing.

Eucalyptus has many applications, from purifying skin by removing dirt, to warming, toning, and refreshing skin, to promoting a sense of well-being. It can be diffused to reap its benefits through scent. When diffused, Eucalyptus energizes and creates an uplifting atmosphere. Traditionally, some varieties of Eucalyptus have even been used in mosquito repellent sprays, while others continue to be used to relax with massages and provide soothing feeling.

Frankincense originates from a small scraggly but hardy tree indigenous to the Middle East, which is small with abundant pinnacle leaves and white or pale pink flowers. The resin begins as a fragrant sticky milky-white liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when cut. The dried tears are collected, and the resin is then distilled, producing the precious oil. The resin is known as olibanum, derived from the Arabic al-luban or 'that which results from milking', referring to the milky sap. It is used as incense, and has been traded for 5,000 years. Widely used in ancient Egypt, it was one of the ingredients used in the holy oil described in the Talmud.
