Seasonal On-Time Delivery Commitment
During this festive season, The Great Canadian Soap Co. is dedicated to ensuring your orders arrive in time for your celebrations. If a specific delivery date is required, please mention this in the Order Comments section when checking out, or inform us via email or phone. While we have consistently achieved a near-perfect on-time delivery rate (about 99%) over the past five years for in-stock items during the Christmas season, current circumstances have led us to adapt our approach.
This year, as in recent years, we are unable to provide guaranteed delivery dates due to ongoing adjustments in courier services. Rest assured, we are committed to closely monitoring our shipments throughout Canada and the USA. Should there be any anticipated delays in meeting your requested delivery date, we will proactively reach out to discuss alternative solutions with you.
Christmas Shipping Deadlines for 2023
To better plan your holiday shopping, please note the following estimated delivery deadlines:
PEI, NB, NS: Order by December 18th for estimated delivery by December 24th.
ON, QC, NL: Order by December 15th for estimated delivery by December 24th.
MB, SK, AB, BC: Order by December 14th for estimated delivery by December 24th.
YT, NT, NU: Contact us with your postal code for specific delivery estimates.
Continental USA: Order by December 10th for estimated delivery by December 24th.
Estimates are based on courier assessments on the shipment day. Our commitment is to ship your order only if the estimated delivery date is on or before December 24th. In case of a later estimated delivery date, we will consult with you before shipping. Please be prepared for potential delays due to factors beyond our control, such as extreme weather or customs processing.
All prices on our website are in Canadian Dollars. We ship all packages in Canada and the USA by Canada Post and Purolator (UPS delivery in the USA). Choice of couriers is at our discretion. Worldwide shipping by Canada Post only. The following minimum amounts for free shipping are after any discounts have been applied and before tax.

FREE SHIPPING TO USA FOR ORDERS OF $180 OR MORE
Shipping fees for orders below the minimum amounts are as follows:
PEI, NS, NB - $15 flat rate
Rest of Canada - $20 flat rate
United States - $25 flat rate
We typically ship most packages within 2-5 business days (excluding weekends and statutory holidays) after receiving the order for all in-stock items. The moment your order has been shipped, you will automatically be sent an email with a tracking number link. Please note that en route tracking is only available within Canada and for most shipments to the USA. If you need to receive your order by a specific date, simply let us know in the Order Comments section when completing your online order. We read those comments almost as soon as the orders come in and we will make sure it is shipped out on time so that it can arrive on or before the requested date based on the couriers estimated delivery date for your address. If we think there will be any problem with your package arriving by your requested date, we will contact you to see if a faster shipping option would be suitable. Please note that orders received a few days prior to statutory holiday (Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) may take an extra 1-3 business days (excluding weekends and statutory holidays) for an order to be shipped due to the shorter work week and quite often busier than usual environment in our walk-in retail store.
Credit Card Charges
Credit cards submitted by a customer for a requested online purchase are automatically charged in Canadian Dollars for the full amount the moment an order has been placed. With the exception of special custom orders, prior to a requested online purchase leaving with the courier, customers can request an order be cancelled for a full refund OR be changed with any difference in cost being refunded or charged as applicable. In the event a request to change or cancel an order has been sent, please allow 48-hours (excluding weekends and statutory holidays) for a response. If you would prefer your card to be charged at the time your requested online purchase is ready to be shipped and not charged immediately when you place your order, please contact us by telephone to place your order and request your card not be charged immediately.
Both of our main couriers, Canada Post and Purolator Courier, have suspended all delivery time guarantees. As a result, we regret that we can no longer offer delivery guarantees.
